How to configure a disconnected application in forgeRock Identity Cloud?

  1. What is the procedure to create a disconnected application?

To my knowledge there are three applications types:

  • Provisioning application (e.g synchronisation from external systems)
  • Authoritative application (e.g synchronisation to external systems)
  • Custom applications (OIDC, SAML, Bookmarks)

So what do you mean by “Disconnected application”?

If there is need to synchronise from and/or to external resources, then the RCS must be deployed on premises and configured to connect to Identity Cloud.

Patrick,
I think what Anushka is asking for is some way to make an application, where there is no direct connection. Rather imagine opening a ticket in a ticketing system to complete a task, and either it is assumed success, or else when the ticketing system is complete it could send back a notification that the task was completed.

Manual completeion of entitlement granting might be another way to say it.
